Last week at La Locanda, we were thrilled to receive news that Maurizio has been named as Marketing Lancashire’s latest Taste Lancashire Ambassador. This was great news, particularly as it closely followed our recent award for Outstanding Contribution to Taste Lancashire at the Lancashire Tourism Awards.
Receiving this award, Maurizio has joined a very distinguished group of celebrated Lancashire-based chefs who work together with Marketing Lancashire, to raise the profile of the county as a must-visit food destination. This is a great honour and an opportunity to reach more Slow Food lovers and showcase truly authentic Italian cooking together with the best of Lancashire’s ingredients from our finest producers.
Commenting on his new role as Taste Lancashire Ambassador Maurizio said “By staying true to the traditions of Italian cooking I can make the most of Lancashire’s wonderful seasonal food and ingredients, from a growing number of inspiring and innovative local producers as a well as introducing foraged food into our menus. “
