La Locanda celebrate at the lancashire tourism awards
Cinzia and Maurizio were very proud to attend the Lancashire Tourism Awards on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022, where they were excited for La Locanda to be named in the shortlist of three finalists for the Taste Lancashire – Restaurant of the Year award.
Taking place at Stanley House Hotel & Spa, it was the first year back for the event after a two year gap due to Covid restrictions and the packed room was abuzz with excitement as the assembled audience waited to hear the results of the seventeen awards. It was a long and nervous wait for Cinzia and Maurizio as their award was the final one to be announced, and disappointment when it did come with Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms taking a very well deserved top spot.
Surprise Award
However, all was not lost and their disappointment soon turned to joy with the announcement that, after 18 years in the hospitality business here in the UK, they had been recognised for their outstanding contribution to Taste Lancashire and received a very special award to celebrate this amazing achievement. Needless to say, Cinzia and Maurizio were both completely shocked, but nevertheless overjoyed to receive such wonderful recognition of their work, returning to the restaurant with a renewed passion to keep on with their dedication to producing truly authentic Italian cuisine whilst championing the most amazing Lancashire produce.
