We are delighted to once again be teaming up with professional, wild food forager and creative chef, Craig Worrall, of Edible Leeds & 4 Wild Seasons, to celebrate the rich diversity of fantastic, seasonal produce that Lancashire has to offer.
Craig is one of the UK’s leading experts on wild foods and a highly respected wild food chef. Craig will take guests on a 2.5 hour guided morning forage along the sea front at Lytham, Lancashire.
Seasonal Wild Foods
Taking place on Sunday, July 10th, the forage will be a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of seasonal wild foods including; salt marsh succulents, herbs, plants, flowers & aromatics, discuss safe identification features and cooking and preserving techniques. Craig will also provide a range of wild tasters from his wild larder to tantalise guests taste buds & also to demonstrate the wide range of culinary potentials of wild foods. Guests will actively take part in the gathering of some wild foods and those will be included in the 5 course meal, cooked and prepared by Maurizio and Craig, back at La Locanda later that evening.
The Forage
Sunday, July 10th – Guests arrive from 10am and will be greeted with tea/coffee and wild snacks before commencing the forage at 10.30am which will run until 1.30pm when guests will be offered a simple but tasty lunch.
There are 2 ‘Sapore d’estate’ options available to guests:
- Forage & 5 Course Evening Meal – £140.00 per person
- 5 Course Evening Meal Only – £85.00 per person
The evening meal will commence at 6pm.
